What they are looking for

Our client, a growing global investment management firm, is looking for an Accountant/Accounting Clerk in their Finance department to assist with the daily tasks of the general accounting functions of the organization. This could include other tasks with office management and coordinating travel. Our client is open to hiring someone entry-level for this position. What the position will be doing

  • Manage daily general ledger accounting functions, including, but not limited to reconciliations, billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Assist in managing the company‚Äôs financial accounts, budget, cash receipts and financial assets.
  • Assist with build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks).
  • Work with vendors, clients and partners communicating regarding invoicing and payment issues on a regular basis.
  • Assist with managing travel in partnership with their external Travel Management Provider to include monthly reporting, maintenance of any travel management reports for board meetings. Serve as a liaison between users and travel partner.
  • Assist with daily office management including coordinating any property maintenance, ensuring supplies are stocked, and managing minimal mail and packages received.
  • Reporting and analysis including daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc as requested or needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested or needed by the business.

Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities

  • Preferred 2 years of experience in a corporate or professional accounting role, including internships or part-time jobs, or a bachelor's degree, or four-year equivalent, in Account or Finance-related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced experience with Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in dynamic and changing environment.
  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail, and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player.
  • Ability to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to study problems and identify solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and social skills with a collaborative work mentality.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
